Licensing, withdrawals, wagering requirements, self-exclusion and how this website makes its money.

Section 01

Licensing & safety

Search the operator on the Gambling Commission public register at gamblingcommission.gov.uk. A legitimate UK operator publishes its licence number and operating company in the website footer, and that number will resolve to an active record on the register. We print the account number, the full licence number and a direct register link on every review in our archive so you can verify it yourself in under a minute.
A white label is a brand that operates under another company’s Gambling Commission licence rather than holding its own. The licensed operator remains legally accountable for compliance, payments and complaint handling. White labels are entirely legal in the UK, but it is worth knowing whose licence you are actually dealing with — which is why we name the licence holder at the top of every review.
Every UKGC licensee must give you access to a free, independent alternative dispute resolution (ADR) provider after eight weeks, or sooner if they issue a deadlock letter. The ADR body is named in the operator’s own terms. The Gambling Commission does not adjudicate individual disputes, but it does want to hear about licensees that behave badly.
Section 02

Money & offers

Deposits are instant because the operator is receiving money. Withdrawals pass through identity and source-of-funds checks required under UK anti-money-laundering rules, then through the payment network. Completing verification before your first cash-out request removes most of the delay. In our 2026 testing, verified debit card withdrawals cleared in as little as two hours.
If you claim a £50 bonus with 35x wagering, you must place £1,750 in qualifying stakes before the bonus balance and anything won from it can be withdrawn. Different titles contribute at different rates — slots usually 100%, table content often 10% or nothing. Always check the maximum stake rule too: exceeding it while a bonus is live can void the balance entirely.
No. An offer with a short expiry, a high wagering multiple and a low conversion cap can be worth less than nothing, because it locks your own deposit behind the same conditions. Every brand lets you decline. If you cannot comfortably meet the requirement without changing how much you would normally stake, decline it.
Section 03

Safer gambling

GamStop is the UK’s free national self-exclusion scheme. You register once, choose a minimum period of six months, one year or five years, and every operator licensed by the Gambling Commission is required to block your access for that period. It cannot be reversed early. Registration takes a few minutes at gamstop.co.uk.
UK-licensed operators must offer deposit limits at minimum, and in practice most also offer loss limits, session time limits, reality-check reminders and time-outs from 24 hours to six weeks. Reductions to a limit take effect immediately; increases must wait through a cooling-off period. Both brands in our archive keep these controls in the main account menu.
The National Gambling Helpline is free on 0808 8020 133, open 24 hours a day. BeGambleAware offers advice and a live chat service. Gamblers Anonymous runs free peer-support meetings across the UK, in person and online. None of these services will ask you to pay, and none of them are connected to any operator.

About this website

We earn commission when a reader opens an account with a brand through a link on this website. It costs you nothing and it does not change the price, the offer or the terms you receive. Commission never influences a score: our eight-measure model is applied identically to every brand, and our full funding arrangement is set out on the Disclosure page.
No. Placement in the archive follows the weighted score, and no brand can buy a position, a score or a favourable line. Where a brand pays us and still scores badly on a measure, that measure is published as it stands — you will find criticism of both brands in our archive on the pages that recommend them.
Every entry carries a review date. Licence records are re-checked against the public register on a rolling 90-day cycle, and re-tested immediately if a reader tells us something has changed. Material amendments are noted at the foot of the review rather than silently edited.
Adults aged 18 or over who are physically located in the United Kingdom. Gambling is age-restricted by law, and it is a criminal offence for an operator to accept a wager from someone under 18. Nothing on this website is directed at children or at people who have self-excluded.
